What is coaching?

  • Coaching is not therapy, counselling or mentoring.
  • Coaching is an opportunity to focus on you, to gain clarity of your current situation, to have a direction in which you want to head, and to move forward with confidence and purpose.
  • Coaching is a collaborative partnership between myself as the coach, and you as the coachee.
  • My role is as the facilitator of change, but it is your responsibility to enact the change you desire.

My approach to coaching

  • My aim in coaching is to help individuals build a pathway between their current reality and their dreams for the future.
  • I want the process to be thought provoking, creative and empowering for the coachee.
  • I use the GROW collaborative model for coaching: GROW ~ REALITY ~ OPTIONS ~ WAY FORWARD
  • This integrates well with The Skilled Helper model, which underpins my approach to counselling and supervision practices.
  • As a coach it is important to remember that I do not have the answers, you are the expert on you.
  • I do promise to provide a supportive, ethical and challenging environment, offering tools and structure, without giving directive advice, unless requested.

What to expect

  • Coaching may be uncomfortable at times, change requires you to stretch your comfort zone, but I will be there to ensure you do not enter your panic zone as this can hinder progress.
  • Sessions will be led by you, I will provide structure, questioning and support.
  • The sessions together are only one part of the process, equally important is the work you do between sessions.
  • You decide how long you need between sessions, it may be a week, a month or longer depending on your goal and circumstances.
  • Within this time you will implement the changes we identify and reflect on succeses, barriers to change and things we need to change to move forward.

Some questions to consider

  • What do you want from coaching?
  • What do you want to achieve?
  • What is you goal in relation to this?
  • What is standing in the way?
  • How do you want it to be?
  • What have you tried so far?
  • What other options do you have?
  • Which option takes you closer to your goal?
  • What support might you need?
  • What are you committing to and when?

How I offer coaching

I can offer online coaching using VSee, a safe online platform. This means coaching is easily accessible, at a time, date and place most suitable to needs.  It also means you can access coaching from outside of the local area.

I can also offer coaching in person, within the Wrexham area, depending on location and time available. (An additional fee will be charged for time/travel)

Fees

I am offering an introductory fee of £40 per hour (session time depends on needs and can vary depending on where you are in the process).

I can also offer a block booking of 3 hours for £100 (to be used depending on needs and where you are in the process, it may be a 2 hour initial appointment, followed by 2 x 30 minute follow up sessions)

THESE RATES ARE FOR A LIMITED PERIOD AND WILL INCREASE TO £100 per hour and £280 per 3 hour block booking from 1 January 2026.
